Occasionally politicians see things that affect them, it could be meeting a homeless person, a carer who struggles to bring up a disabled child or a charity worker who has given many years of their life to a particular cause.

Local Lib Dem councillors and Graham Oakes, PPC for Exeter tonight attended an exhibition of art by students from Exeter College, held at St Stephens Church in the High street. The students were all 19years old or older and were displaying work from the Access Art & Design course.

Graham Oakes commented "we saw a range of art and were all impressed by the quality of work on display."
