Steve Darling MP and his guide dog Jenny by the coast in Torbay

This Friday 12th September we have a special “in conversation” event at 7:30pm at the City Gate pub, Exeter, with Devon MP Steve Darling.

Steve, who represents Torbay, will discuss his eventful first year in Parliament representing the area in which he grew up and where he served for three decades as a local councillor.

This is your chance to ask Steve about life as a Lib Dem MP, politics in Devon and the issues facing the county.

Steve has been a local councillor for 30 years, including four years as leader of Torbay council. Steve spent 18 years working for the former Liberal Democrat MP Adrian Sanders helping people with local problems and trying to tackle the big issues for the area.

Steve is registered blind and has lived experience and an understanding of equality and diversity, particularly around disability. His guide dog Jennie has become famous in the last year as she accompanies him around Parliament!

This is a free event and there is no need to book. Simply turn up with your questions and ideas at 7:30pm on Friday 12 September at the City Gate pub - 1 Iron Bridge, North St, Exeter, EX4 3RB.

We will be in the room at the back facing the garden, please feel free to get refreshments from the bar and meet us in the “gallery” room.
