The ward is diverse and unites the areas of Duryard to the North and St James near the centre. It contains the university campus, a range of local businesses, and valued parks and open spaces, such as Hoopern Valley in the heart of the ward.

Cllr Kevin Mitchell

Kevin was born, raised and educated within Exeter. He qualified as a nurse in 1999 and has worked at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Hospital for 20 years. He is currently a Clinical Nurse Specialist caring for cancer patients with Melanoma and Sarcoma.

Kevin was elected to the City Council in 2003 and has a passion for community politics. He very much believes in cross party cooperation to ensure the best for Exeter.
